All Aboard the Mothership: An Extraterrestrial Pre-Event

Have you seen strange lights in the night sky? Crops circles in a corn field in Iowa? ‘Weather Balloons’ crash landed in the New Mexico desert? What’s really going on at Area 51? Seminole Theatre is going all things alien to kick off April and hypnotist Flip Orley’s one man show!  So, join us on April 2nd at 6:30 PM for an extraterrestrial pre-event that will be out of this world!

Be sure to come dressed up in your intergalactic best or as your favorite terrestrial, for an Aliens VS Humans costume contest. Winner takes…well, winner takes over the galaxy, naturally, right? Don’t feel like dressing up? Then come in your present human incarnation, we won’t judge you.

Did you leave your tinfoil hat at home? Not to worry, we’ve thought of everything. Create your own at our cosmic crafts (I’m not paranoid if they’re out to get me) station. We will be serving specialty cocktails that are out of this world at our interplanetary pub station. At our transformation station you can adorn yourself in stardust and luminescent tattoos before your photo op to make sure you will remember this night for the rest of your life (before your memory is irreversibly erased by a couple of guys in dark suits and glasses).

It doesn’t stop there! Taking place directly after at 8 PM comic hypnotist Flip Orley takes the Seminole Theatre stage with his one man show Aliens Are Among Us. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Roswell New Mexico’s UFO incident Orley presents an evening dedicated to UFO’s and aliens. His volunteers from the audience claim they’ve seen UFO’s and or are aliens themselves and some of them can even speak and alien language. You are not going to want to miss this wild and crazy evening of non-stop laughter. The pre-event is free if you RSVP on our website, but be sure to purchase your tickets to see Flip Orley on our mainstage.

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
