Coppelia is a fun comic story Ballet for all ages. It is set in a small village in Poland at the end of the 18th Century. It is about Dr. Coppelius, a doll maker and his mysterious daughter (a doll) Coppelia who cause a fight between Suanhilda a beautiful peasant girl who is engaged to marry Franz. Franz sees this beautiful girl (the doll) and falls in love with her. Swanhilda, jealous sneaks into Dr. Coppelius' house with her friends and they realize she is a doll. Franz appears, but Suanhilda decides to dress up as Coppelia. Dr. Coppelius returns and sees Franz in his house. He offers him beer, gets him drunk and knocks him out. Dr. Coppelius takes his soul and puts it into Coppelias. Dr. Coppelius is fooled by Suanhilda and thinks his mechanical doll has come to life, but the lovers are reunited and Dr. Coppelius is very sad. The following day the couple is married and everyone celebrates the wedding. Even Dr. Coppelius.
