Rise: Empowerment through mindfulness" is scheduled to take place during Mental Health Awareness Month on Saturday May 25th, 2024 at The Historic Seminole Theatre in Downtown Homestead.

Rise is not just an event; it is a harmonious convergence of theatre, wellness, and mindfulness. Our vision is to create an immersive theatrical experience that captivates the hearts and minds of the audience, while simultaneously providing invaluable insights on the power of mindfulness.

Rise will bring together a panel of distinguished speakers who are mental health professionals as well as renowned experts in the field of mindfulness and personal development. These influential individuals will share their wisdom, expertise, and personal experiences, offering practical tools and techniques to cultivate mindfulness and empower positive thinking.

Rise will include interactive activities to help participants connect with the present moment and cultivate awareness. Rise will also showcase live musical performances, creative dance, acrobatics and more with impactful messages of self-love, resilience and inner strength. These performances will enhance the overall experience and provide a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with their emotions and inner selves.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
