Life in God’s Garden The origins of heaven and earth when God created them. Everything made every tree sprout and also the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. God forms man from the dust of the ground and breathes into him the breath of life. Genesis 2: 4-14 ESV Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil Man had to cultivate and take care of the Garden of Eden, allowing him to eat from every tree except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Genesis 2:15-17 ESV ACT II Man should not be Alone. God created Eve. And God said that it was not good for man to be alone, He created a suitable help. After the man, Adam, by order of God, gave names to all the animals, he fell into a deep sleep and from one of his ribs he formed the woman, flesh of his flesh and bones of his bones, and both would be one flesh before God. Genesis 2:18–24 The Fall of Man The cunning serpent deceives Eve in doubting what God had said. Eve then ate the fruit of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then gave it to Adam, who also ate, disobeying what God had said. Both the man, the woman, the serpent and the creation had their consequence, they fell into sin and curse. Genesis 3 Redemption But by the grace and mercy of God, we know and believe: For the transgression of one man, sin and condemnation entered the world, and as a gift of justice by the abundant grace of God and the obedience of one man, Jesus Christ, guides us to justification and we are declared righteous, Ro. 5:17 –19. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has also come the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Co. 15:20–22
