Synopsis
Bram Stoker’s Dracula, a play adapted from the classic novel, follows Count Dracula’s journey from Transylvania to England, where he seeks to conquer new victims and spread his vampiric curse. The story centers on the conflict between Dracula and a group of heroes led by Professor Van Helsing who strive to protect Mina Murray and Lucy Westenra from his dark influence. The play is a tale of love, temptation, and the fight against supernatural evil.

1. Dramatic Monologue (1–2 minutes):
Choose a monologue that reveals emotional depth, inner strength, and confrontation with fear or grief.
- It is recommended that you prepare a monologue specific to the character you want to audition for.
You may also be provided with a specific monologue from the script — check with the director.
2. Cold Reading:
Expect to read scenes involving:
- Comforting or confronting a sick or possessed Lucy/Mina
- Speaking with Van Helsing about unnatural forces
- Possibly resisting Dracula’s influence or warning others about it
Headshots and resumes are not required but we will take them if you have them.

“Ruth: God’s Redeeming Power”
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus…" Rom. 3:23–24
The story starts outside of Bethlehem (1:1), Moab, Israel’s enduring enemy, located east of the Dead Sea.
This country originated when Lot became the father of Moab through an incestuous union with his eldest
daughter (Gn. 19:37). Centuries later, the Jews encountered opposition from Balak, king of Moab, through
the prophet Balaam (Nm. 22–25).
For eighteen years, Moab oppressed Israel during the time of the judges (3:12–30). Saul defeated the
Moabites (1 Sam. 14:47), while David seemed to enjoy a peaceful relationship with them (1 Sam. 22:3,
4). Later, Moab again troubled Israel (2 Kings 3:5-27; Ez 9:1).
Because of Moab's idolatrous relationship with Chemosh (1 Kings 11:7, 33; 2 Kings 23:13) and its
opposition to Israel, God cursed Moab (Is. 15:16; Jer. 48; Ez. 25:8-11; Am. 2:1-3). The story of Ruth
occurred "in the days when the judges ruled" Israel, and thus serves as a bridge from the judges to
Israel's monarchy.
God used "a famine in the land" of Judah to initiate this beautiful drama, although the famine is not
mentioned in Judges, which causes difficulty in trying to date the events of Ruth. However, counting
backward from the well-known date of David's reign (1011-971 BC), Ruth's time period would most likely
be during Jair's reign, around 1126-1105 BC.
Ruth covers about eleven or twelve years according to the following scenario: first 1:1-18, ten years in
Moab (1:4); second, 1:19-2:23, several months (mid-April to mid-June) in the field of Boaz (1:22; 2:23);
third, 3:1-18, one day in Bethlehem and one night on the threshing floor; and fourth, 4:1-22, about a year
in Bethlehem.
In Ruth, we can appreciate that redemption for Jews and Gentiles, that both men and women are co-heirs
with men of God's saving grace, shows us the characteristics of the virtuous woman and the right of
David (and, therefore, of Christ) to the throne of Israel.

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Take the first steps by participating in The Seminole Theatre Conservatory of the Arts! During this intensive six-week camp, artists will learn how to become a triple threat (actor, singer, dancer) from industry professionals and specialists with a focus on scene study, choreography, vocal training and song interpretation. In addition, artists will learn the ins and outs of auditions, theatre production, and rehearsal preparation, all while having fun, making friendships, and working inside a professional theatre.

You will be taken on a journey with dances that make you want to get up and party, to dances that strike your emotions and everything in between. Our dancers and teachers have been pouring out their hearts for this show, and we are thrilled to step on the stage for families to enjoy this experience with us. There is no place like “home”. Goldern Hour is directed by Amber Bryan, the Artistic Director of True Movement Dance Studio.
True Movement was founded and created “brick by brick” with passion & love. We aim to provide a healthy dance environment for every dancer to soar past their potential, with correct and precise dance training. Offering professional training, in a supportive environment to hone the craft, dedication, kindness and respect of our dancers. Ballet and Beyond artistic director Karen Hirst Kennedy presents Alice in Wonderland an exciting rendition of the tumultuous journey of a young girl’s imagination. To be performed at the Seminole Theatre, Friday June 6th 7:00pm and Saturday June 7th 7:00pm Alice in Wonderland, a story ballet in 2 Acts, tells the story of Alice in her home with her sister and tutor. After her mother reprimands her, Alice is upset and falls asleep to find herself chasing a rabbit who leads her to the forest where she meets 2 children who tell her a sad story about oysters. She continues on her path following the rabbit to some angry flowers, a snobby caterpillar, a crazy tea party and finally to the Queen and King of hearts, where she is tried and sentenced to death. Luckily, she wakes up in time to realize it was all a bad dream. This story ballet will delight children and adults alike, danced by the professionally trained Ballet and Beyond dancers.
