Extras: Additional Character Guest $100
Additional guests for movie package is $4.00 per child (includes a confessions package)

To continue preservation of The Seminole Theatre as an architectural treasure of our Historic Downtown Homestead, and to promote the Theatre as the community’s cultural center for many years to come – to provide support for community programming, educational opportunities, and related events to build upon the Theatre’s impact and service to our culturally diverse community.

Since re-opening the Seminole Theatre less than 2 years ago, the Friends have accomplished:
-Installing and maintaining “Artist in the Spotlight” program to display local visual artists
-Subsidize tickets for over 400 at-need young people and their families.
-Launched a community theatre company and presented “Hairspray”

-Expanding community theatre into resident group “Seminole Theatre Players” and presenting a regular mainstage season-Launching youth theater program to present bi-annual productions
-Providing scholarships for summer musical theater camps
-Growing ticket subsidies to bring 1,000 persons per year
-Renovate historic elements of theater lobby.

-$25 brings a family of 3 to our holiday event where kids can meet Santa, decorate cookies, and watch the classic movie “Home Alone” with us
-$100 sends a family of 4 to see the Nutcracker live on stage.
-$250 pays the tuition for an at-need child or teenager to train and perform in The Lion King Jr.
-$500 provides a full tuition to the Summer Theatre Conservatory for an at-need child/teen (includes lunch and field trip).

Auditorium Information & Policies

The Auditorium is a multi-purpose, 420 seat state-of-the-art performing arts center perfectly equipped for concerts, theater, dance, film, corporate events, graduations and more. The newly renovated auditorium has two levels of seating, a fly system, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, and in-house lighting, audio and projection systems. Front of house staffing

Front of House Service Package Fee: Required for all Bookings

Security (At Prevailing Rates )

Management will determine if additional security is required, or Renter may request.

Technical Staff (At Prevailing Rates)

A Technical Director must be present for all events in Auditorium. Use of House Audio or Lighting Systems will require additional technical staff. Please advance needs for staff estimates. See Technical Staff Schedule page for examples of technical staffing packages.

Event Insurance:

Charged at market rate plus $75 management fee. Renters with sufficient liability insurance may be exempt.

Security Deposit:

A security deposit shall be due in addition to the Estimated Fees & Charges. The security deposit will be returned five (5) business days following the event, less any expenses related to damage to venue, equipment and property, and any additional labor hours required that were not billed.

Additional Terms:

  • 7% Sales Tax applies to all rental rates, ticket sales, and other reimbursable charges (but not labor) unless Licensee has proof of State of Florida Tax Exempt Status.
  • Auditorium Rate includes lobbies and dressing rooms, maintenance and building coverage for load-in, set-up, rehearsals and one performance.
  • Any hours over scheduled rates will be billed at one and a half of the pro-rated rates. For example, a “Commercial – Public Performance or Presentation” scheduled for a Thursday from 8:00am to 3:00pm will be assessed a rental fee of $937.50 for an additional hour. $750 standard rate for half day plus $187.50 ($750/6 * 1.5 = $187.50 per additional hour).
  • Rehearsal, Film/Photo Shoot, or Private Conference. Rate shall grant access to Auditorium and Dressing Rooms only; event will not be listed and building shall not be open to public or guests. If renter desires private attendance event will be treated as a public performance and applicable rate will be applied.
  • *HOLIDAY RATES: Rental rates shall be assessed at one and a half times (1.5x) Friday or Saturday rate, regardless of the day of the week. Staffing charges will be assessed at one and a half times (1.5x) the listed rates. Holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter.

Our Terrace is a covered outdoor event space overlooking the adjacent Losner Park and Historic Downtown. The Terrace is perfect for private parties or small receptions, especially in conjunction with Auditorium Events.

3 Easy Ways to Get Tickets:

ONLINE: Our tickets may be purchased through our website at the Events Calendar or at https://www.tixr.com/groups/seminoletheatre.

PHONE SALES: Tickets can be purchased through our Box Office Thursday-Saturday 12:00pm-6:00pm at (786) 650-2073 . 

IN PERSON: You are always welcome to visit us in person and purchase at our Box Office Windows located at 18 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL. Our hours are Thursday-Saturday 12:00pm – 6:00pm. The Box Office is open two hours prior to performances and during all shows.


Refund/Exchanges and Inclement Weather Policy

All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. In the event the performance is postponed/rescheduled, patrons will have the option to receive a refund or retain their tickets and use them at the rescheduled performance. All tickets from the originally scheduled performance will be honored at the rescheduled date. When a performance is cancelled, refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase.

Firearms and Other Weapons Policy

The safety and well-being of our patrons are of the utmost importance to us.
Please be aware that firearms and other weapons are not permitted in the venue and/or public spaces of the Seminole Theatre.

Children / Lap Seats

Everyone entering the theater must have a ticket or lap pass.  Anyone sitting in a seat must purchase a full price ticket.  A “lap pass” may be purchased for children 3 years or younger who will not require a seat.  Please check for age restrictions or contact the Box Office before purchasing any tickets for children.

Lap passes are $5 each.  Reservations are not required for lap passes-they can be picked up/purchased at the Box Office the day of the performance.

Group Sales

Groups of 8 people or more may be able to take advantage of Group Sales Discounts of up to 20% off!  Group Sales Discounts apply for Seminole Showcase Series, Seminole On The Air, and Encuentros en Vivo productions. Discounts vary by performance and may not apply to all performances. Group tickets may only purchase through the Seminole Theatre Box Office and must pay for all tickets at once.

Military Discount

The Seminole Theatre thanks military families by offering a 20% discount off regularly priced tickets. The Military Discount is available ONLY via the Seminole Theatre Box Office with proper ID. This offer is based on availability and cannot be combined with other offers. Military Discount is only applicable to Seminole Showcase Series, Seminole On The Air, and Encuentros en Vivo productions.

Student Rush

Students of any level with applicable student IDs can take advantage of the Seminole Student Two-fers rush program. On the day of the show, any students can come in person to the Seminole Theatre box office and receive “TWO-FER” tickets – TWO TICKETS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE! The Seminole Theatre encourages students to take advantage of the arts programming in the community.

The box office opens two hours prior to all performances. “Two-fer” tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to availability. Limit of two tickets per ID.
