On Monday, September 12, the Seminole Theatre will open its doors to the public for the inaugural Gallery Night at the Seminole. From 7:00-9:00pm, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display, meet the featured artist, and enjoy wine and cheese.

The featured artist for September is photographer Sandy DeWitt. Ms. Dewitt has an extensive career in photography that has included images in the field of architecture, design, and construction. She has won numerous awards including Best of Show and the Court of Honor Award. Her style of photography presents clean and crisp imaging and reflects an understanding of the fluidness between function and design.

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
