Two unique concerts, including a world premiere, highlight the historic appearance by the Emmy and Gold Medal-winning South Florida Youth Symphony at the Seminole.
Under the guidance of Marjorie Hahn, Executive and Music Director, Associate Conductor Richard A. Zogaib, and Wind Ensemble Director Lowell Thomas, the SFYS will present two free-to-the-public concerts at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the organization’s first Homestead appearance. The 1 p.m. Kids’ Concert is family-oriented and will feature show tunes, movie themes and an always-popular instrument demonstration.
The 4 p.m. Grand Season Finale performance is more classical in nature and will feature a world premiere piece, ‘2021’, by harpist Yuuri Harper-Rosenberg, as well as solo student performances by Heily Rivas (Double Bass), Gianluca Nagaro (Violin).
Tickets are also available at the Seminole Theatre box office, 786-650-2073 or 18 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL (Tues-Sat 12-6pm)
