Friday, July 22nd from 5:00-8:00pm is Pokemon Go day at the Seminole Theatre.

Looking for something to do Friday night?  We've got you covered.  Come over after work to take advantage of our Pokestop Lures and catch all the pokemon you can.  Take a picture of Pokemon inside the Historic Seminole Theatre and post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to get a special offer.  Spotted at the Seminole recently: Doduo, Staryu, Rhydon, Pinsir and more!  

Battle it out for control of the Seminole Theatre trainign gym.  We'll have giveaways for the current champion every half hour.

Make a night of it and stay for our first presentation of Sci-Fi Summer, WLRN Radio Theater presentation of War of the Worlds.  Many people have heard of Orson Welles' infamous radio broadcast  which sent the public into a frenzy before realizing it was just a rendition of HG Well's classic sci fi novel War of the Worlds.  WLRN and Arts Radio Network have partnered with the Seminole Theatre to re-produce the radio broadcast, with live actors on stage acting out the broadcast along with sound effects and audience participation.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
