The characters move between comedy and revolutionary politics featuring the simplicity of the Spanish countryside and the contrasting sophisticated class in Madrid of the nineteenth century on the verge of a revolutionary change of its political landscape. The libretto by Federico Romero and Guillermo Fernández Shaw could be described as a romantic comedy with a near-tragic touch of melancholy. A masterpiece of its own kind. \nLuisa Fernanda\, a young girl living in 1868 during Queen Isabel II regime\, is in love with Javier\, a colonel in the royal hussars. She is also courted by the rich landowner Vidal Hernando. Javier’s nonchalant attitude towards Luisa and his flirting with Duchess Carolina leave the door open to Vidal Hernando in Luisa Fernanda’s heart. Krome Avenue\, Homestead\, FL\, US\n\n \nLa Zarzuela\, Inc. presents Luisa Fernanda\, a Spanish romantic zarzuela in three acts by Federico Moreno Torroba. The characters move between comedy and revolutionary politics featuring the simplicity of the Spanish countryside and the contrasting sophisticated class in Madrid of the nineteenth century on the verge of a revolutionary change of its political landscape. The libretto by Federico Romero and Guillermo Fernández Shaw could be described as a romantic comedy with a near-tragic touch of melancholy. A masterpiece of its own kind. \nLuisa Fernanda\, a young girl living in 1868 during Queen Isabel II regime\, is in love with Javier\, a colonel in the royal hussars. She is also courted by the rich landowner Vidal Hernando. Javier’s nonchalant attitude towards Luisa and his flirting with Duchess Carolina leave the door open to Vidal Hernando in Luisa Fernanda’s heart. One of my greatest teachers was Eugene Massin who’s painting are hanging at Hard Rock Dolphin Stadium. I was an art teacher for 34 years with Miami-Dade County schools before retiring as Teacher of the Year at my school. I love color! Painting nature\, fantasy and animals are my special interest. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, June 24th 2021 6:00 pm\nSeminole Theatre\n18 N. Krome Avenue\, Homestead\, FL\, US\n\n\n \n\nOn Thursday\, June 24th\, the Seminole Theatre will open its doors to the public for a Gallery Night at the Seminole. Starting at 6:00 pm\, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display\, meet the featured artist\, and enjoy light Hors d’œuvres. \nTerre Rybovich’s drawings are the product of an intuitive process. She staples a large piece of paper to a sheet of plywood\, then scrubs the entire surface with a thick stick of charcoal. Then she works spontaneously to imprint her hands\, limbs and torso in the charcoal. Her aim is to start the drawing with random marks. \nUltimately it is those marks that determine the outcome of the drawing. Spending as much time looking at the drawing as she does working on it\, Terre relies on her intuition and her drawing skills to find the final image in the spontaneous marks. Working without preconceived results allows her to draw imagery she never could have imagined. \nSince becoming a serious birder\, Terre also draws birds based on photos she takes. They sometimes appear in her intuitive drawings too. \nTerre earned her Bachelors in Politics and Economics from New York University. She has a Masters in Rural Sociology from Wisconsin-Madison. Her first career was in grant-making to community and agricultural development programs. That experience instilled a courageous drive that Terre now channels into art-making. \nToday Terre lives in Homestead with her husband Jon Ward. The show’s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor\, wit and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink! \nLegally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes\, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend\, Warner\, dumps her and heads to Harvard\, claiming she’s not “serious” enough\, Elle takes matters into her own hands\, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate\, Emmett\, and spunky hairdresser\, Paulette\, along the way\, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive.
