DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n \nThe Friends of the Historic Seminole Theatre Present \nFROZEN JR. \n  \nDoes your child dream of taking center stage? Now is the time to make those dreams come true. \nThe Friends of the Historic Seminole Theatre are proud to announce the next production of The Junior Players\, a theater conservatory program providing training and performance opportunities for young people. Kids of ages 7-17 can now register for our spring production of Frozen the Musical. \nFor the first time in forever\, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film\, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez\, along with new music written exclusively for the stage. \nIn the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle\, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle\, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen\, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control\, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle\, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff\, his loyal reindeer Sven\, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Full of magic\, humor\, and a stunning musical score\, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood\, acceptance\, and finding the real meaning of true love. \nThe rehearsals will start Saturday\, November 1st – February 22\, 2025 at the Seminole Theatre. Some Saturday’s may be supplemented by a weekday. We also expect the students to be available every evening for tech rehearsals February 17 – February 19\, and for the three performances February 20 – 22 (Friday and Saturday evenings\, Sunday afternoon). \nNo experience required! The Jr. Players are open to all who wish to be involved. Auditions will be held on the first rehearsal day\, and parts will be assigned for the production. Not every student can play a lead role\, but every student will be an integral part of a fun production and have a fantastic learning experience. \nThe cost to participate is $500 per student. This covers the directors and instructors\, plus any costumes\, props or specialty makeup needed for the show (other than shoes and basic undergarments). This has fee has been greatly underwritten thanks to the Friends of the Historic Seminole Theatre. Lunch is not provided\, students will need to bring lunches (a refrigerator and microwave are available). \nTo register\, please check out on link below\, or call or visit the Seminole Theatre box office at 18 N Krome Ave\, Homestead\, FL 786-650-2073. We will need a $100 deposit to secure the spot\, and the balance will be due a week prior to the first day of rehearsals.  \nSPACE IS LIMITED TO 40 PARTICIPANTS! Make sure to reserve your spot.  Deposits are non-refundable. All sales are final unless the event is cancelled\, patrons would then get the choice of a refund\, credit or pick a different show. All patrons\, regardless of age\, must have a ticket. Lap seat tickets are available for select performances. All sales are final. There are no refunds for any reason except event cancellation.
