SUMMARY:The Next Chapter: “Sitting Pretty”
DESCRIPTION:The Next Chapter: “Sitting Pretty”\nPresented by What if Works\, in association with Homestead Center for the Arts \nFriday\, October 2\, 2026 at 7:00 PM EDT\nSeminole Theatre\, Homestead\, Florida \nThe Seminole Theatre welcomes the return of What if Works with its next thought-provoking production\, The Next Chapter: “Sitting Pretty.” \nLife is glimpsed through the lens of a wheelchair user in this unique seriocomedy\, inspired by Rebekah Taussig’s acclaimed memoir\, Sitting Pretty. Performed by a trio of spirited actors\, the production explores Taussig’s daunting task of teaching Disability Studies to a class of impossibly disengaged students. \nThe result is equal parts comedy and pathos. Please bring a government-issued ID\, military ID\, or valid student ID to verify eligibility. Discounted tickets are subject to verification. \n\nAll sales are final. There are no refunds for any reason except event cancellation.
