Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of thr largest live event in South Dade. STP is calling auditions for roles in the production of In the Heights\, the musical\, and we want to see YOU in the show! All experience levels are encouraged to audition. There are three days of open calls – you only need to attend ONE day of open calls. \n\n\nTuesday\, March 20 7:00-10:00pm at the Seminole Theatre \n\n\nWednesday March 21 7:00-10:00pm at Lucky’s Saloon for Karaoke Open Call \n\n\nThursday\, March 22 7:00-10:00pm at the Seminole Theatre \n\n\nAfter open calls\, you may be invited back to callbacks on Saturday\, March 24th and/or Sunday\, March 25th at the Seminole Theatre from 2:00 – 6:00pm. \nUse the dropdown to select your audition date. Follow below for information on cast and scheduling. \n \nPlease read all of the information below. Actors of all ages\, race and body type are encouraged to audition. Due to the nature of the show\, some roles are specific to certain ethnicities and to respect the nature of the play\, we will make best attempts to cast as such. Whether you consider yourself a dancer who can carry a tune or a singer who can move\, we want to see you. Performers with strengths in Hip-Hop\, Latin and Break Dances as well as rap or spoken word are especially encouraged to audition. \nAudition Guidelines For open calls on Tuesday and Thursday: \nSingers who can move: \nPlease prepare 16 measures of an upbeat song or ballad in your key. Choose a piece that you are comfortable with and one that shows off your strength. We will have an accompanist and sheet music is strongly encouraged.. First time picking an audition song? Read this helpful article. and feel free to contact us if you need help with sheet music – we’ve got lots of it! \nWear comfortable clothing as you will be asked to learn a short routine. \nIf you’re more comfortable singing Karaoke – come to Wednesday’s open call at Lucky’s Saloon\, just down the street from the Seminole. No sheet music is required\, just bring yourself\, your friends\, and maybe pick up some liquid courage at the bar. \nDancers who can sing: \nDancers should be prepared to learn a rmore complicated routine. Wear dance clothes and shoes. You may be asked to stay and sing.
