DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, 23 May 2017 7:00 – 10:00\nSeminole Theatre\n18 North Krome Avenue\, Homestead\, FL\, US\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n*This is the RSVP for auditions Tuesday\, May 23rd ONLY.  To register for Wednesday\, May 24th\, please go HERE. \nThe Seminole Theatre Players is calling auditions for roles in the production of Hairspray\, the musical\, and we want to see YOU in the show!  All ages\, types\, and experience levels are encouraged to audition.   There are two days of open calls – you only need to attend ONE day of open calls.   \n\n\nTuesday\, May 23 7:00-10:00pm at the Seminole Theatre \n\n\nWednesday May 24 7:30-10:30pm at Lucky’s Saloon for Karaoke Open Call  \n\n\nAfter open calls\, you may be invited back to callbacks on Thursday\, May 25th at the Seminole Theatre from 7:00-10:00pm. \nCast \nHairspray is a diverse show set in inner city Baltimore in the 1960s.  Actors of all ages\, race and body type are encouraged to audition.  Due to the nature of the show\, some roles are specific to certain ethnicities and to respect the nature of the play\, we will make best attempts to cast as such.  For a full breakdown of roles click HERE. \nAudition GuidelinesFor Tuesday’s open call\, please prepare 16 measures of an upbeat song or ballad in your key. Choose a piece that you are comfortable with and one that shows off your strength. *SHEET MUSIC IS REQUIRED* – CD’s or acapella would NOT be permitted.  First time picking an audition song?  Read this helpful article. and feel free to contact us if you need help with sheet music – we’ve got lots of it! \nIf you’re more comfortable singing Karaoke – come to Wednesday’s open call at Lucky’s Saloon\, just down the street from the Seminole.  No sheet music is required\, just bring yourself\, your friends\, and maybe pick up some liquid courage at the bar.  \nDancers should be prepared to learn a routine.
