The group shares their military and Veteran experiences to raise awareness of veteran’s issues and promote Post-Traumatic Growth. \nThe Seminole Theatre has partnered with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4127\, and every Premium Ticket ($47) purchased for the Combat Hippies will sponsor a Military Veteran to see “Conscience Under Fire” and attend a talk-back after the show with the group. \nLed by world renowned theater artist and director Teo Castellanos and backed by one of Miami’s most well-known DJ’s\, Brimstone 127\, The Combat Hippies are a group of military veteran performing artists. The group’s core members consist of Hipolito “Beardman” Arriaga\, Anthony “I.E.D.” Torres\, Allen “Tatsel” Minor\, and Andrew “Dru Phoenix” Cuthbert. \nThe Combat Hippies were born as a result of the MDC Live Arts’ season-long veterans’ initiative in which they shared their experiences in an original spoken word piece as part of the O\, Miami Poetry Festival.
