Calling auditions for roles in the production of Dracula and we want to see YOU in the show!  All experience levels are encouraged to audition.   There are three days of open calls – you only need to attend ONE day of open calls.  \n\nMonday August 11\, 6:00-9:00 at the Seminole Theatre at the Seminole Theatr at the Seminole Theatr\n\n             CALLBACKS AUGUST 13\, 6:00 PM \n                                                           Seminole Theatre                                                             18 N Krome Ave                                                        Homestead\, FL 33030                                                          (free street parking) \nAfter open calls\, you may be invited back to callbacks at the Seminole Theatre. \nUse the dropdown to select your audition date.  Follow below for information on cast and scheduling.   \nPlease read all of the information below.  Any questions\, please contact us at 786-650-2073 or info@seminoletheatre.org. \n  \nSynopsis \nBram Stoker’s Dracula\, a play adapted from the classic novel\, follows Count Dracula’s journey from Transylvania to England\, where he seeks to conquer new victims and spread his vampiric curse. The story centers on the conflict between Dracula and a group of heroes led by Professor Van Helsing who strive to protect Mina Murray and Lucy Westenra from his dark influence. The play is a tale of love\, temptation\, and the fight against supernatural evil.  \nAudition Guidelines For open calls: \nPlease prepare  \n1. Dramatic Monologue (1–2 minutes):Choose a monologue that reveals emotional depth\, inner strength\, and confrontation with fear or grief.  \n\nIt is recommended that you prepare a monologue specific to the character you want to audition for. \n\nYou may also be provided with a specific monologue from the script — check with the director. \n2. Cold Reading:Expect to read scenes involving: \n\nComforting or confronting a sick or possessed Lucy/Mina\nSpeaking with Van Helsing about unnatural forces\nPossibly resisting Dracula’s influence or warning others about it\n\nHeadshots and resumes are not required but we will take them if you have them.  \nShow Information & Schedule \nTime CommitmentRehearsals begin August 18\, 2025. Rehearsals will be Mondays through Wedensaday 6pm-10pmNot everyone is called to every rehearsal.NO ABSENCES PERMITTED DURING TECH WEEK \nPerformances: \nOctober 24\, 25\, 26. Fridays and Saturdays are at 8:00pm. Sundays at 2pm or 3pm. Possible Saturday matinees might be added at 2pm pending sales.NO ABSENCES PERMITTED FOR ANY SHOW \n\nAll orders carry a transaction fee. All sales are final unless the event is cancelled\, patrons would then get the choice of a refund\, credit or pick a different show. All patrons\, regardless of age\, must have a ticket. Lap seat tickets are available for select performances. All sales are final. There are no refunds for any reason except event cancellation.
