DESCRIPTION:STP Jr. announces their first production of The Lion King Jr! Register now to be a part of the production\nJanuary 5 – April 7\, 2019\nSeminole Theatre\n18 North Krome Avenue\, Homestead\, FL\, US\n \n\n\nNOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS.  AGES 9-15 ONLY.  MUST BE AVAILABLE EVERY SATURDAY JANUARY 5-MARCH 30\, PLUS THE WEEK OF MARCH 31-APRIL 7 FOR TECH WEEK AND PERFORMANCES.  PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW FOR FULL DETAIL. \nDoes your child dream of taking center stage? Now is the time to make those dreams come true. \nThe Friends of the Historic Seminole Theatre are proud to announce the formation of The Junior Players\, a theater conservatory program providing training and performance opportunities for young people. Kids of ages 9-15 can now register for our spring production of Disney’s The Lion King Jr. \nDisney’s The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world for 24 years. The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba\, Rafiki\, and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again\, in this inspiring\, coming-of-age tale based on the classic Disney film! \nIn the Junior Players production\, students will have the opportunity to take on one of the famous roles in the Lion King Jr. The students will rehearse every Saturday with our theatre professionals\, learning acting\, singing\, choreography and stagecraft\, and then perform the full show to the public on the Seminole Theatre mainstage. \nThe rehearsals will be every Saturday\, January 5 – March 30\, 2019 froim 9:00am – 3:30pm at the Seminole Theatre. We also expect the students to be available every evening for tech rehearsals March 31-April 4th\, and for the three performances April 5-7 (Friday and Saturday evenings\, Sunday afternoon). \nNo experience required! The Jr. Players are open to all who wish to be involved. Auditions will be held on the first rehearsal day\, and parts will be assigned for the production. Not every student can play a lead role\, but every student will be an integral part of a fun production and have a fantastic learning experience. \nThe cost to participate is $250 per student. This covers the directors and instructors\, plus any costumes\, props or specialty makeup needed for the show (other than shoes and basic undergarments). This has fee has been greatly underwritten thanks to the Friends of the Historic Seminole Theatre. Lunch is not provided\, students will need to bring lunches (a refrigerator and microwave are available). \nTo register\, please check out on Eventbrite below\, or call or visit the Seminole Theatre box office at 18 N Krome Ave\, Homestead\, FL 786-650-2073. We will need a $100 deposit to secure the spot\, and the balance will be due prior to the first day of rehearsal on January 5th. \nSPACE IS LIMITED TO 30 PARTICIPANTS!
