Jimmy Shubert has built an impressive resume as an actor, both in film and on television. As a comedian, he is one of the busiest comedians working today. After becoming a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and being seen on Comedy Central as the closing act on Dave Atell’s Comedy Underground. Shubert’s New-hour special ‘Zero Tolerance” is a theatrical presentation of Shubert’s stand-up persona of a blue collar working man’s man. He combines the outlook of a modern-day Archie Bunker with an utterly real world sensibility to create signature pieces of comedy, on Therapy cats, Smart Phones, Male grooming and, the dumbing down of America. Shubert loves playing the part of a pop culture Iconoclast. In television, Shubert is also known for his recurring role on “King of Queens” for five years and several appearances on “Entourage”. Jimmy has a wide range as an actor and has played everything from a prison guard in a hostage crisis to a murder victim on “Monk.” He’s worked with such marquee names as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Katie Holmes, Kevin James, James Caan and the late Robin Williams. On the small screen, He recently did a guest star on IFC’s ”Maron.”
The Seminole Theatre features comfortable seats, state of the art lighting and sound, and a full bar, of course. The show is at 8 pm and doors open at 7 pm. Ages 18+
Headliners include:
Angela Nacca
Angela B. Nacca represents the moms, the wives, and the working and menopausal women of the world. Her act is sure to keep you laughing as she tells the stories of her 36-year marriage, her career in medicine, or the trials of menopause – like “doing a little peepee in your pants when you laugh and sneeze.” Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, before moving to West Palm Beach, Florida, 14 years ago, Angela has been a hit in a range of venues. She’s performed at the Improvs of South Florida, Funny Bones in Hartford, Connecticut, and toured with Comic’s Rock Tour giving performances in Washington, DC, Virginia Beach, and Staten Island. Recently she was selected as one of the Top 40 comedians and will be competing in the World Series of Comedy, and was a runner-up at Ultimate Miami Comedian as well as in Florida’s Funniest Females comedy competition.
Jay Guy
Jay Guy is a South Florida Native originally born in Homestead on a military base. After dabbling in the fields of retail, real estate, and prehospital care, he is making his run at standup comedy. Recently he placed top 3 in the entire state for Florida’s Funniest Comedian competition. With an original style that has been described as “laid back” and “smooth”. Jay’s likability allows him to push boundaries that have been deemed as taboo while also relating his comedy to everyday experiences. His imaginative observations will have you laughing out loud and in your heart.
Jim Patterson
Jim Patterson left Las Vegas to pursue comedy in South Florida when he was two years old. It only took him 70 years to figure that out. Jim’s material is sourced from a lifetime of laughter with his wife Mary, his children and grandkids. Jim’s quick wit and unique perspective on aging make him a crowd favorite.
