Are you a local actor looking for your next acting opportunity, theatre audition, or casting call in South Florida? Step into the darkness and bring one of literature’s most iconic stories to life!
Seminole Theatre and MagicArts Studios are seeking up to 12 actors for a gothic and haunting stage production of FRANKENSTEIN. This is an opportunity for both experienced performers and local actors who are looking to take part in a community theatre production.
All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to audition!

Whether you’re an experienced actor, a developing performer, or looking for a new acting gig in Homestead, we encourage you to audition and become part of this theatrical production.
Auditions will include two parts:
- A 60-second prepared monologue of your choice.
- A cold read, with sides provided at the audition.
AVAILABLE ACTING ROLES
Victor Frankenstein – A brilliant and highly determined young scientist in his mid-20s.
Elizabeth Lavenza – Victor’s adopted cousin and love interest; kind, intelligent, and strong-minded.
Alfonse Frankenstein – Victor’s widowed father and the paternal rock of the family.
William Frankenstein – Victor’s younger brother. Child actor role.
Henry Clerval – Victor’s best friend and colleague, also a scientist in his mid-20s.
Lionel Mueller – A stern and dedicated local elder magistrate.
Frau Mueller – Lionel’s wife; an older, mature woman of class and high society.
Hans Metz – An opportunistic local villager.
Peter Schmidt – Another local villager.
DeLacey – A sweet, blind elderly hermit.
Justine Moritz – A young and simple maidservant.
The Creature – A large, tall creature assembled from parts.
French and German accents are desired but not mandatory.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
The action takes place in and around the Frankenstein estate in Geneva, Switzerland, during the mid-1800s.
This gothic production explores the classic story of Victor Frankenstein and the consequences of bringing his creation to life, combining dramatic storytelling with a dark and atmospheric theatrical experience.
The production will include adult themes, violent situations, and special effects, including strobe effects, fog, and loud sound effects.
Child actors are welcome to audition. However, parents should be aware that some material, themes, and special effects may not be suitable for young or sensitive children.
