Join us on Thursday, August 12th at the Seminole Theatre where there will be a the public Gallery Night at 6:00 pm, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display, meet the featured artist, and enjoy light Hors d’œuvres.
Meet the Artist: Mildred “Mimi” Meyerson
“My passion has always been art. Drawing on the sidewalk in front of my home as a small child and painting watercolors on the side of our home got me in lots of trouble! Frustrated, my mother sent me to Saturday art class at “Lowe Art Gallery”-UofM. I attended University of Miami and graduated Bachelor of Art Education. One of my greatest teachers was Eugene Massin who’s painting are hanging at Hard Rock Dolphin Stadium. I was an art teacher for 34 years with Miami-Dade County schools before retiring as Teacher of the Year at my school. I love color! Painting nature, fantasy and animals are my special interest. Enjoy!”
