On Monday, December 12, the Seminole Theatre will open its doors to the public for a Gallery Night at the Seminole. From 6:30-8:30pm, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display, meet the featured artist, and enjoy wine and cheese.
The featured artist for November – December 2016 is retired Pediatrician and now a photographer-artist Dr.Leonard Askowitz he uses bold, bright, hyper-saturated colors that appear to be more like paintings. Dr Askowitz work has been exhibited in the beautiful Art Fusion Gallery and the Wynwood section of Miami. Some of his early blacklight photographs were also published in Popular Photography magazine.

Encuentros en vivo – Humor A Lo Gigante
Unas de las salas de espectáculos más tradicionales del sur de Florida, el Seminole Theatre, de Homestead, anuncia la realización de una novedosa serie de shows, denominada “Encuentros en Vivo”.
La misma se llevará a cabo mensualmente y arrancará el sábado 15 de octubre, con la comedia “Humor a lo Gigante”, con tres grandes de la risa: Carlos Yustis, Miguel González, y Beatriz Arroyo.
Durante la obra se desencadenarán enredos y situaciones insólitas, que harán reir al público, ya conocedor del talento de estos artistas, que han brillado en “Sábado Gigante” y otros trabajos.El Seminole Theatre adelanta que “Encuentros en Vivo” de noviembre (sábado 5) contará con la actriz y animadora Paula Arcila, quien presentará su monólogo “Miss Cuarenta”.
La sala tiene capacidad para casi 500 espectadores y está considerada un Centro Cultural de la sureña área de Homestead, Los Cayos y Kendall.”Estos ‘Encuentros en Vivo’ sirven para mostrar a artistas hispanos y, de paso, atraer a la comunidad latinoamericana de Florida”, manifiesta el director ejecutivo del Seminole, Mickey McGuire.
