Air National Guard Band of the South

The Air National Guard Band of the South supports the total Air Force and Air National Guard mission in war and peace by inspiring patriotism and fostering a deep appreciation of the rich history and legacy of the Air Force. This is accomplished, mainly, through professional performances by some of the nation’s best musicians. The band performs as a concert band, ceremonial band, “Space A” and “Sound Barrier” popular music ensembles, “Smooth Groove” jazz/big band ensemble, brass quintets and small jazz combo.

The Band of the South’s mission is two-fold: first, to enhance and lift the morale and espirit de corps of our fellow Airmen stationed either in the United States or abroad; second, to increase the public’s understanding of the importance of air power, the missions and programs of the Air Force and Air National Guard and the bravery, sacrifice and dedication of Airmen across the globe. While performing these missions, members of the Band of the South have performed in almost every state in the union as well as being deployed to Germany, Kandahar, Afghanistan and more. The Air National Guard Band of the South is stationed at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Knoxville, TN.

Keep in mind, in order to make sure there are no gaps in seating and we are able to accommodate a full house, seating will be called out by rows. Once you hear the row you’d like to sit in, you’ll be guided to the next available seat in that row. Seating maps will be posted in the lobby for your reference.

There will be no saving seats, so your entire party will need to be present upon entering the theatre. Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Tickets and information are also available at the Seminole Theatre box office, 786-650-2073 or at 18 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL. The box office is open Tuesday-Saturday 12:00-6:00 pm.

Ricardo Arnaldo was born in Havana and at fourteen years old became an exile in New York City. He received a Bachelor degree from the City University (CUNY) and a Master’s from FIU. He lived in New York for many years and in San Francisco before moving to Miami. Ricardo considers his images a constant celebration of light. They range from highlighting light and shadow reflected on natural subjects, forests, cityscapes, or the human figure. Using his attraction to color, texture, and light, he creates an imaginary reality out of a concrete situation.
