Come join us as we celebrate a milestone! 100 years of the Seminole Theatre!
We will dance through the decades as we usher in our centennial. From the roaring twenties and the birth of jazz to rock and roll and hip hop the Seminole has seen it all! Come dressed in your favorite era as we march through the past century. A little flapper in you, some Sinatra, if you yearn for the days of Woodstock bring your Hendrix along with you. Let’s see how much we can fit in one city block. Sample some local eats at one of our food trucks and support our local artisans at our vendor tables. But keep up a hundred years in one night moves fast. Time flies when your having fun! See you beneath the bright lights!
We had an extremely overwhelming amount of people come to audition for this summer’s productions. We wish we could cast everyone, but unfortunately there is only so much room on stage. Even if you did not make it into this show, we hope that you will come back and audition for future shows. We would love to see you on stage.
The stage managers for the shows will be reaching out soon with further information on rehearsal scheduling and other details. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]

“THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS” by Les Standiford
2020 – the year of the pandemic and shelter-in-place. The turned upside down with remote living and working. As we slowly move out from under that moment in history What if Works, with the support of the Homestead Center for the Arts, invites you to join actors and director in person for a unique screening of a costumed stage reading of Les Standiford’s “The Man Who Invented Christmas.” recorded remotely with the author providing the narration of the stage directions.
First published as a book in 2008, a 2018 adaptation for film featured Christopher Plummer as Scrooge. Now the book is adapted into a stage play. Recorded with all actors in remote and skillfully edited with specific Dickensian locations by Paul Steinsland.
Don’t miss this unique theatre event at the Seminole Theatre as we witness Charles Dickens and the struggles he endured during a similar time of excessive restriction while forging his most beloved story, “A Christmas Carol”.
