IN THE HEIGHTS features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This Tony Award–winning musical tells the vibrant story of a close-knit community in New York’s Washington Heights, where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the streets pulse with the sounds of three generations of music.
As the neighborhood stands on the brink of change, its residents chase dreams, face challenges, and discover what it truly means to call a place home. Filled with infectious Latin rhythms, powerful storytelling, and unforgettable characters, In the Heights celebrates culture, family, and the courage to hold onto the traditions that shape us while embracing the future ahead.
