IN THE HEIGHTS features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This Tony Award–winning musical tells the vibrant story of a close-knit community in New York's Washington Heights, where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the streets pulse with the sounds of three generations of music.
