Join Frankie - our Head Shop Wizard, and frequent musical director - to learn how you can make the perfect DIY backdrop for all your at-home activities via Facebook Live.

To create a stage flat, you’ll need:

SUPPLIES

- Muslin or Canvas fabric or Luan plywood (1/4-inch or 1/8-inch)
- Pine lumber for frame (1×2-inch, 1×3-inch or 1×4-inch)
- Miter saw
- Jigsaw
- Staple gun
- Carpenters glue
- Paint/paintbrushes
- Hammer/nails
- Screw/ screw gun
- Safety gear should include gloves, safety goggles and ear protection as needed. Also, appropriate clothing and shoes to help protect your arms and feet.
During this live workshop, we will be taking donations to help support the Seminole Theatre and local artists.

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
