Get ready for a day filled with family-friendly Halloween activities and a screening of the twenty-four minute animated horror comedy special, Scared Shrekless!

Starting at 2pm, the theatre will host a series of activities including a Trick-Or-Treat scavenger hunt, cookie decorating table, arts and crafts, and a costume contest. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a showing of Scared Shrekless, which is part of the Shrek film franchise.

Scared Shrekless is set shortly after the events of Shrek Forever After, and is based on the children's book Shrek!, by William Steig. Set in the run down kingdom of Duloc, once ruled by notorious Lord Farquaad, Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and other quirky characters from the franchise join together to see who can tell the scariest stories and be crowned the King of Halloween!

Guests are strongly encouraged to wear their best and most creative Halloween costumes so they can enter and potentially win our Halloween costume contest!

Tickets are also available at the Seminole Theatre box office, 786-650-2073 or 18 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL (Tues-Sat 12-6pm)
All sales are final. There are no refunds for any reason except event cancellation

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
