At 5:00pm, you and your date will enter our historic theater for a special screening of the movie Chocolat, starring Juliette Binoche and Johhny Depp.  Afterwards, we encourage you to enjoy a dinner at one of our local Homestead restaurants such as the Redland Hotel, Chefs on the Run, Capri, White Lion, and many more.

Synopsis:

Vianne Rocher and her young daughter are drifters who are met with skepticism and resistance when they move to a conservative town in rural France and open a chocolate shop during Lent. As Vianne begins to work her magic and help those around her, the townspeople are soon won-over by her exuberance and her delicious chocolates - except for the mayor, who is determined to shut her down. When a group of river drifters visit the town, Vianne teaches the townspeople something about acceptance, and finds love for herself along the way.

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
