Cast

Annie is the perfect family-friendly show set in 1930s New York City, and has become an international phenomenon.  This show will be implementing color blind casting and all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.  All roles are available.  This is a small breakdown of roles, and you can see the breakdown of all roles HERE .

Adults:  Note, this is not a show with mostly kids in the cast.  The majority of the story and characters is for adults.  There are a variety of lead and ensemble roles for adults ranging in age from 16 to 65.  All are welcome.

Orphans:  Girls who look and act between the ages of 6-13.  We wish we could cast everyone who auditions, but unfortunately there is not room in the cast.

We are looking for both singers and dancers for this production, but everyone needs to do some of each.  Whether you consider yourself a dancer who can carry a tune or a singer who can move, we want to see you.

Audition Guidelines For open calls on Tuesday and Thursday:

We will see kids from 7:00-8:30pm and ask adults to come for the later slot of 8:30-10:00.

Girls auditioning for Annie and Orphans

All girls should be prepared to sing a short section of "Hard Knock Life" and to learn a short dance / movement routine.   Some may be asked to sing a section from "Tomorrow".

We will do about 30 seconds or less from the beginning of "Hard Knock Life".  Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTXI2fhwGpk&feature=youtu.be

Those asked to sing "Tomorrow" will be asked for a short segment starting around 0:55 "When I'm stuck with a day..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPgMuBJDEnM&feature=youtu.be

Adults - Leads & Ensemble

Please prepare 16 measures of an upbeat song or ballad in your key. Choose a piece that you are comfortable with and one that shows off your strength. We will have an accompanist and sheet music is strongly encouraged.  First time picking an audition song?  Read this helpful article. and feel free to contact us if you need help with sheet music - we've got lots of it!

Wear comfortable clothing as you will be asked to learn a short routine.

If you're more comfortable singing Karaoke - come to Wednesday's open call at Lucky's Saloon, just down the street from the Seminole.  No sheet music is required, just bring yourself, your friends, and maybe pick up some liquid courage at the bar.  This is a sports bar - we do not ecnourage kids to come to this audition.
