On Thursday, September 27, the Seminole Theatre will open its doors to the public for a Gallery Night at the Seminole. From 7:00-8:30 pm, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display, meet the featured artist, and enjoy wine and cheese.

The featured artists for September – November 2018 are part of MUCE, the Miami Urban Contemporary Experience arts production company. They bring a niche heritage experience to the global market through pop up art exhibitions, festivals and cultural programming. The company represents a shared belief that the arts belong in every community. They are committed to utilizing arts as a vehicle to preserve heritage and as a platform to diversity the artistic landscape in the western World. 

This Homestead Artist spotlight includes a collective of amazing artist, curated by Bart Mervil of MUCE. The show features: Katey Penner, Adewale Adenle, Jo Juliano,  Isaie 'Zeek' Mathias, Teeyah, and the students of the SBC CDC.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
