Hailed as the "dramatic tour-de-force" and "utterly enthralling" by theatre critics across the country "The Gospel of Mark " has been performed by countless distinguished actors, notably Alec McCowen in 1997 appearing on Broadway and the West End of London and most recently David Suchet ("Murder on the Orient Express") in March 2017. Not to be outdone, What if Works, in collaboration with Homestead Center for the Arts is proud to announce South Florida's very own production. Audiences will now have the chance to see this unique piece of liturgical theatre come alive at the Seminole Theatre in Homestead!Under the direction of Phillip M. Church actor and minister, Chris Coppolo takes on the mantel of Mark, seamlessly transitioning from character to character while bringing to life one of the richest narratives ever written.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
